The ILO Financial Education training Program was held at AEMFI’s training hall from the 29 th of
January 2024 to February 2, 2024 at AEMFI’s training hall. A total of twenty participants from the
MFIs and AEMFI participated in the program. The training followed a participatory approach in
which the majority of the floor was given to the participants. It is part of the first phase ILO
Certification program on Financial Education. The objective of the first phase of the collaboration
between AEMFI and the ILO PROSPECTS project in Ethiopia is to develop the ILO Financial Education
programme’s outreach amongst multipliers able to replicate the training to forcibly displaced
people and host communities. The aim of the training is to create internal pools of trainers that
would roll out the ILO Financial Education training to refugees and host communities present in
ILO PROSPECTS target areas in Ethiopia.
